Individual Therapy
I define myself as a solution-focused, integrative family therapist. What this means is that my work supports clients in delineating and then working towards achieving attainable goals for themselves individually as well as themselves relationally with others. Though many of my clients have endured difficult situations in the past - some of these traumatic - my training in narrative as well as Bowenian theory enables me to guide and support clients in creating and maintaining a more fulfilling and meaningful future. Bowenian therapy looks at past generations in your family that have transmitted intergenerational patterns of being and interacting with others, while narrative therapy focuses on examining the
"stories" from the past and recognizing how these interpretations are impacting you at the present.
I have years of specialized training in family therapy, as well as CBT and EMDR. My perspective places every individual I see in the context of their current and past relationships, and also supports the client in identifying and ultimately challenging thinking and core beliefs. I utilize all of these therapeutic modalities in creating individualized treatment plans that are tailored to the needs of each person I see.
My work values mind and body wellness. Here are some issues that I frequently help clients with:
